Carpe the heck outta Diem

Carpe Diem

I recently saw a song “Carpe Diem” on someone’s blog as I was blog hopping. Their blog was focusing on Fitness and self-care and obviously “seizing the day” —  all very positive and go-get-em kind of things — encouraging people to exercise and eat right and have a bucket list and all of those things you associate with Carpe Diem.

But for myself, I tend to grab too much to put into my day – mostly good stuff, but then, what I call ‘good’ may cause one to pause…  Lysa TerKeurst wrote a great book “The Best Yes” and after reading it, I latched on to that phrase and found it truly simplified my decision making and gave me the backbone to Carpe Diem.

So Carpe Diem for me came to be “seize the day – seize it away from busyness.

Seize the Day for myself.

Seize the day and steal away to a quiet place for reflection and meditation.

Seize the day to just sit and Savor the day.

And Yes, Seize the day to go work out – if that’s what I really need to do…hmmm.
