I just love this Carpe Diem stuff!! Today when my beautiful friend, Patty, walked in my front door & hugged me, tears just popped out. I was so moved to see her and get a hug!
We had the most delightful visit, talking fast and furiously catching up, sharing thoughts and ideas, remembering good times, trying to pack a couple of years into a couple of hours.
We both love animals and the Everglades, so she wasn’t horrified that my back yard was not quite as ‘groomed’ as it was when she last visited. 
My back yard has gone from suburban backyard to Evergladeswannabe – which works for me!
It was so nice to have someone be as delightfully distracted by the many birds in my yard as I usually am. Someone recently said it was A.D.D. “Attention DISTRACTION Disorder”.
One of my favorite moments as we yammered on and on, interrupting one another rapid fire, was when she interrupted, laughing, saying “Did you notice how you just followed me down that rabbit trail?!” Gales of laughter at ourselves…
…but then, who doesn’t love bunnies?
What a delightful day to have seized! So glad I didn’t miss it.
